What is the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS)?

At Littlehampton Dental Care we provide dental treatment for your young child, that is bulk billed through Medicare – this is called the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). This service provides eligible families up to $1,000 per child over 2 calendar years, to pay for a wide range of dental services. It’s available to families who are already receiving other benefits, such as Family Tax Benefit A payments.

Dental care covered by CDBS includes:

• check-up
• x-rays if needed
• cleaning
• preventive treatment to keep teeth and gums healthy.
• fissure sealants to prevent decay
• fillings
• extractions and
• root canal treatment.
